Catherine is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. She interprets Vancouver Island landscapes primarily in watercolour and acrylics, with a focus on the changing moods and energies of the west coast and island communities. She’s lived on the Island for most of her life and in the Cowichan Valley, at Maple Bay, since 2003.

“My intention is to explore painting with a light hand and limited palette. I try to capture the feeling of places I know, with a specific memory or story in mind.”
